G/HSP-020 - Old Man of Mow| Full Screen Map Mow Cop is a peculiar place with many weird and wonderful features. The trig point is not at the summit! The highest point, a few centimetres higher than the trig base, is atop "The Old Man Of Mow", a large 65 feet high pillar of stone, left standing when the rest of the rock around it was quarried away. Mow Cop achieves sub-Marilyn status by exceeding P140. Climbing up the Old Man Of Mow is not allowed (the base is surrounded by a large wire fence) and would be very dangerous, for all but experienced rock climbers. |
