  GW/HMW-026 - Cilfaesty Hill

Full Screen Map

The summit is on Access land and is grazed pasture. There is good take-off and excellent views, marred only by the silage plastic burning that takes place (illegally) on the summit.

Report 1
SO 10902 84897 - Park in the Kerry Ridgeway car park off the B4355.
Take the foot path S from the car park for 200m and then turn left onto the Kerry Ridgeway. After about 1.2km at SO 11916 85151 turn right off the ridgeway onto a poorly-defined bridleway. Head SE onto the Access land and on to the second hill, which is Cilfaesty. There are shorter routes but none more easy!

Report 2
SO 1447 8336 - This is a triangle of land between the road and two converging tracks. There is just enough space at the far end to park on the verge.
This route is easier in that most of it is on good tracks. Take the track immediately N of the parking place, which is a ProW, and head E. This track takesyou onto the access land. Continue to SO 1334 8344 where the stone track turn right into a field. At this point go straight on an unmade track which eventually leads you almost to the summit of the hill.
