Full Screen Map This summit is on Access Land which extends down to the road. It is rough pasture and it probably wet in the winter. However the summit is slightly less tussocky and a great operating area with good take-off and a TP for your pole. The only down-side it the close proximity of a communications mast that could give problems on VHF/UHF. There is plenty of room for HF dipoles. Report 1
SN57204286 - Just where the fenced and unfenced areas join. Room for one or two cars.
From the parking spot go through the gate on the N side of the road and head NE along the fence line. When you come to a gate it is best to use associated fencing to climb over on to the SE side. From here continue NE and over the fence (just a derelict length of sheep fencing easily stepped over) and on to the TP. An easy 10 minute stroll. |
