Pronounced Scawfle and separated from the highest point in England by Mickledore, this is a fantastic mountain and worthy of a visit. There are several routes from Mickledore but require a little care: Broad Stand (difficult coming down), Lord's Rake, West Wall Traverse (not as good as it was) or the Mickledore Chimney near the East Buttress.
