This summit being the highest HuMP in the Northern Pennines offers some very good views and the entire area is on access land. A very nice and quiet location for a days hiking

 NY 81138 04106 - Room for 4/5 cars on the border line of North Yorkshire/Cumbria
 From the car park looking South West you will see the task ahead which is to first get on top of the Summit of High Pike Hill. This a short but sharp ascent starting from 520m up to 642m in under 1km, but is the most that will have to be done in one go. Simply ascend and follow the North Yorkshire/Cumbria border line indicated on the OS map. There are no markers on the ground to assist so choose the easiest route to the top and find the cairn at NY 80336 03260. Looking south from here High Seat is clearly visible. Follow whatever route you want to the summit.
