  G/HTW-008 - Seamer Beacon

Full Screen Map

Seamer Beacon sits on a high plateau called Irton Moor. Although completely ignored by most Scarborians, this is in fact our local high spot and it has a reasonable VHF take-off towards York and Leeds. The summit proper rises only 10 or 15 metres above its immediate pasture land surroundings but once you get acquainted with the place it has a real presence. Walking access is good from more than one direction but it is unusual to meet anybody there.
