Full Screen Map The summit is a fairly narrow grassy ridge with a large tree at the southern end. Take off is quite good but there are many higher hills around, making VHF unreliable. However, there is plenty of room for HF antennas. The summit is grazed by cattle so exercise care when deploying large, wire aerials. Report 1 SJ24721159 - A small lay-by with room for 1-2 cars. From the parking spot, walk S along the road, past the two dwellings, and carry on along the track for about 1km. Then, at SJ24431080, turn left onto another track. After about 200m look out for the footpath taking off on the left. Continue walking uphill along the field to a hedge line at the end. Hidden in this you will find a stile. Climb that and keep on the left of the hedge ahead and onto the summit ridge. |
