This hill is the home to Llanymynech Golf Club, and the course wends its way around the many humps, bumps and scrubby areas. The AZ is quite large but the TP probably offers the best location for operating. It would be possible to fit in an inverted V antenna along the edge of the scrub that is behind the TP, without causing any hazard. VHF take-off is quite good. There are numerous PROWs on the course and the golf club seems to be fairly relaxed about dog walkers, ramblers and cavers wandering off them. The guidance here is to be sensible and not bother the golfers and they will not bother you.

 From the parking spot, walk a very short distance NW to the end of the metalled road and turn right up a track. This eventually becomes a Bridleway leading up on to the golf course. You should come out of the woods in front of a green. Go to the right of it and take an opening in the scrub going up hill. You will soon see the TP ahead. It is an easy walk but the bridleway can be muddy on the section in the wood.
