Views from the summit are spectacular with Snowdonia, the Dyfi estuary and Cardigan Bay all prominent. However, getting to the summit involves a steep climb with only animal paths to follow. You will be unlucky to be disturbed on this one. This hill is Access land. Report 1
SN 7083 9389 - Park in the entrance to the forestry by Badger Lodge. Keep well to the NW to avoid obstructing access.
From the parking spot, walk NE along the forestry track. You will soon reach a gate taking you onto open countryside. Continue along the track and over the river to the unoccupied Pemprys. From here continue a short distance before heading up the hill on the left hand side. Zig-zag upwards using animal tracks as much as possible. There is no defined route. When you get over the last fence line head for the obvious flat-topped summit. The summit is marked with a pile of stones. |
