This hill is managed predominantly as beef cattle grazing with sheep, with a maze of permanent high-power electric fences to control the stock. The owners are not on site but are happy to receive requests for access permission. This is highly advisable from a safety point of view. For details of the owners please contact the Awards Manager.

The summit is quite flat and grassy with plenty of room for HF antennas. There is a constant clicking on radios from the fences but this does not affect transmissions. Take off is good and VHF should be possible.

Report 1
SN91349980 - Room for one car on the verge next to the grit bin
From the parking spot walk NE along the track and past the house and other buildings. The track soon turns sharp left and starts to ascend the hill, zig-zagging to the top. At the top of the track go around the small block of conifers on the N side. The summit is then about 300m ENE from that point. There are detachable electric fence ‘gates’ and numerous points. Be sure to leave them as you found them.
