This summit is an Iron Age hill fort (gaer = fort) that provides excellent views of the Ithon Valley. It is sheep-grazed pasture with some PROWs, but enquiries in the village suggested there was almost de facto public access to the fort.

 SO 10856 68881 - Park on the road by a track.
 From parking spot go down the track for a few yards and then turn left. The PROW runs along the back of the houses. This eventually takes you out onto the hill. Stay on the track to SO 11267 69580 where a short but steep well-worn path takes you towards the summit.
