Full Screen Map This summit overlooks the Wye Valley near Builth Wells and provides superb views of the area. It is situated on Access Land. Room on the top is limited, but most HF antennas will fit without much difficulty, although it is quite rocky and getting pegs in can be difficult. Operators should note that this summit is a popular one with local walkers so you may well get visitors. At 281m it is surrounded by higher hills, so VHF might be a challenge. Report 1
SO04894971 - Room for one small car. At this location on the SW side of the road there are two field gates a short distance apart. With care it it possible to fit a small car in the middle without blocking either gate.
From the parking spot walk SE along the road to the point where the road turns sharp right. On you left is the waymarked start of the footpath, starting on farmland and then joining the Access Land towards the top. It is a simple to follow, well used path. |
