  G/HNP-013 - Knock Pike

Full Screen Map

Nothing interesting at the top, no trig point nor even a cairn. Can easily be combined with the SOTA summit of Dufton Pike NP-027 for good walk.

Report 1
NY686288 - This would be the long route for Dufton Pike but a good start/finish point if activating both summits.
I started my ascent from NY688279, not the best of locations but there was quad track that had flattened most of the bracken. After 200 meters it is mostly grass. You will have to find a gap over the wall. Coming back came down the opposite side it is best to get back down to the wall while keeping it on your right then about 2/3 the way down turn left and head towards the bottom of the quarry. Do take care to stay away from the quarry walls. If I was doing this summit on its own I would go through the quarry gates and turn right at NY687286 and take this route up to the summits. It seemed a better route when surveyed back from the car. (M0KCB)
