Full Screen Map Summit is behind mast at top of Norwood Edge. It can be approached from SW (short route) or NE (longer route). Car parks available on both routes (G4OWG). It can also be approached from the NW (short route). Car park space usually available. (G4BLH) I experienced considerable de-sensing problems on 2m using an Icom IC-E90 . Plenty of room for HF aerials. (G4BLH) Report 1 SE208515 - There is usually space at the bottom of the track leading up to the mast, providing it is not all occupied by BT vans. Do NOT block the gates. There are two tracks from the parking spot. The one to the right is the marked footpath. However you can go through the gate and straight up the track that goes towards the very tall mast on this summit. At the top go to the right and follow the muddy track that leads beyond the fenced compound. The 'flat' summit area is well inside the activation zone. It is possible to walk to the trig point but the terrain is a bit rough. Report 2 SE210509 - None Specified |
