Full Screen Map A very pleasant summit with excellent views all around. Access land, with the summit owned by the National Trust. Report 1 SK128586 - Park at the end of Beresford Lane leading down to Beresford Dale. Park at the side of the road tucked into the hedgerow. Space for approximately 6 or 7 cars and a popular spot so arrive early. Cross the river at the end of the road using the narrow, but sturdy footbridge. Ascend the track beyond the river which climbs steeply to meet the road on the west side of the hill. Turn right and walk along the road gaining height to arrive at a gate on the left. Enter the field through the gate and follow the track around curving left until the summit comes into sight. Space for HF antennas and shelter provided by rocks and walls. Mind the sheep droppings! |
