Full Screen Map Report 1 SO506991 - The path leaves the car park in the SW corner, through the trees and onto the ridge. This is the best ascent of the hill. Return the same way or carry on down the SW ridge and turn NE at the bottom of the hill (SO486968) to follow a bridle way that takes you to the road at the north end of the hill. Turn right up the road to the car park. Report 2 SO484968 - Parking for 2 or 3 cars on the grass verge (can be soft when wet) opposite Comley Farm. Walk SE up road for 50m, turn left up the drive and bear to the right up track. The path to the south end of the hill carries straight on up the grass path at a left hand bend, the track to the left takes you to the bridleway which goes along the west side of the hill to the north end, which is the more attractive ascent of the hill. Return over the hill descending the SW ridge to join the path back to the road. A pleasant day out can be made by combining this hill with an ascent of Caer Caradoc from the same car parking spot, even better if you include lunch at the Royal Oak in Cardington! |
