Full Screen Map

Easy parking and short walk of around 1/4 of a mile to a reasonable operating position. The walk is flat with a very good path which makes it an ideal HuMP for the less able-bodied. Good VHF take-off to the W,NW,N & NE with good views on a clear day. It can get very busy on nice days, as the activation area is on the Ridgeway LDP. Trig point on summit has no public access.

Report 1
SU129747 - Parking for around a dozen cars here if parked sensibly. Take care crossing road, as the bend at top of hill is blind. Can be very busy during good weather, as the CP is on the Ridgeway LDP.
From the CP, cross the road and follow the path towards the area of the Trig point (this can be seen in the field to the left, but has no public access). Activate from anywhere along here, as it is flat and only a few metres lower than the Trig point. Plenty of wooden fence posts for poles etc. Be prepared for enquiries/questions from walkers & cyclists, as this is a very popular walking area.
